GDOT to Discuss Planned Downtown Atlanta Transportation Hub on March 14

The Georgia Department of Transportation has scheduled a public kick-off meeting for planning efforts related to the Georgia Multi-Modal Passenger Terminal (MMPT). The MMPT will bring together various ground and rail transit services in a centralized downtown Atlanta location providing passengers with greater connectivity options to the various transit services that exist today, and will serve as a hub for future transit.

The project team will introduce the project and provide background on planning efforts surrounding the MMPT, as well as why this process is different. The following keynote speakers will discuss the national trend of transit-oriented development (TOD), the role of public/private partnerships, the relationship of the MMPT to the City of Atlanta and the State, and how this project can help build a stronger Downtown:
