Understanding and Using Demographic Information

Each census is a snapshot in time of our country – its people, culture and trends. The 2010 Census provided us with a wealth of information that can help communities plan for the future with regard to infrastructure, housing economic development and more.

Neighborhood Nexus is a regional information system, providing data, tools and expertise as a catalyst to create opportunity for all of the region’s citizens. The program’s goal is to support a regional network of information-led leaders and residents, government and businesses, advocates and service providers with information, tools and expertise that meet challenges, leverage assets and create opportunity.

This lunch program will provide participants with information on how data from the Census and other sources can be used in effective ways to help policy makers, elected officials and planners.
