Register Now for the 2013 Lifelong Community Summit on Tuesday, September 17


The Atlanta Regional Commission’s second Lifelong Community Summit, entitled Gray Goes Green, will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 8:00am to 3:30pm at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

This event will focus on the role of natural and built environments in promoting health, and opportunities for aging and environmental professionals to advance a common agenda.

Internationally recognized experts will present cutting-edge findings on healthy aging. Speakers will include Maria Valenti of the Healthy Aging and the Environment Initiative; Kathleen Wolf, PhD from the College of the Environment at the University of Washington; and Marilyn Metzler, RN with the Division of Adult and Community Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The day will also feature local activists and naturalists who will share opportunities to explore nature in the Atlanta region.

Breakfast, lunch, parking and garden admission are included in the $35 registration fee.
