Fourth Annual Georgia Bike Summit Set for Oct. 18-20

The Georgia Bike Summit is a conference for advocates, planners, elected leaders, transportation officials, and anyone interested in seeing a safer, more bicycle-friendly Georgia.

This year’s summit will be held in Roswell from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20 and is presented by the Tony Serrano Century Ride.

Friday, October 18

8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Workshops and roundtable discussion for transportation professionals, planners and engineers. Topics will include: GDOT Complete Streets Policy, Implementing Bike Safety Projects Under MAP-21, TIA/TSPLOST, Bicycle Safety Performance Measures, Bikeshare Programs, Non-Motorized Traffic Counts, NACTO Guide.

Evening social event – TBA

Saturday, October 19

8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Georgia Bike Summit workshops, including topics such as Bike Friendly Small Towns, the Silver Comet Trail Economic Impact study, Working with Sponsors, Traffic Court 101 for Cyclists, Starting a Women’s Cycling Organization, Economic Impact of Bike Events, Community Bike Shops & Economic Empowerment, and more.
