March 24: “Lean Urbanism” Event Featuring Andres Duany

On March 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., CNU Atlanta will present Lean Urbanism: A Conversation with Andres Duany.

This is a one-day event discussing the concept and ideas behind “Lean Urbanism” and how it can be applied to the Atlanta Metro region. Andres Duany will lead the discussion of Lean Urbanism, which suggests that, given ongoing economic constraints, communities need to become more nimble on the local level and build for resilience using techniques, such as Tactical Urbanism, Code-Free Zones, “Pink Codes,” Original Green, and Light Imprint. Duany’s Project for Lean Urbanism, which is about making small, attainable changes in our communities, recently received a grant from the Knight Foundation.
