2015 TIP/LCI Project Solicitation Now Open

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is currently accepting applications for federal funding to projects under the Surface Transportation Program – Urban (STP-Urban) and Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) for FY 2016-2019.

Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on April 6.

Focus areas are:

(1) new infrastructure projects that are consistent with the Livable Centers Initiative (LCI);

(2) existing federally funded TIP projects requiring additional federal funds;

(3) transportation planning or project feasibility studies; and

(4) new infrastructure projects or initiatives that support PLAN 2040 Objectives and the Decision-Making Framework.

All project proposals recommended for funding will be incorporated into a subsequent TIP amendment, to be adopted later in 2015.

Application instructions and materials are available at: http://www.atlantaregional.com/projectsolicitation. Please note that this year there is not a separate application for projects in LCI areas. LCI-specific questions have been integrated into the “Infrastructure” application, which is to be completed for all new projects.

Important Dates:

  • Thursday, February 26, 1:00 p.m., Loudermilk Center Amphitheatre – Application Open House #1
  • Friday, March 20, 1:00 p.m., ARC Harry West Room – Application Open House #2
  • Monday, April 6, by 5:00 p.m. – Applications due

LCI “office hours” will be established for LCI sponsors to sign up, in 20-minute increments, to discuss their specific project application questions. Dates and hours are TBD. An online sign-up will be sent out to LCI sponsors soon.
