ARC Seeking Input Through Two Important Surveys

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is looking for your input on shaping the region’s future through two important surveys, online now:

Regional Strategic Plan for Aging Services – Survey

ARC invites you to help prioritize aging services in the Atlanta region for the next five years by taking an important survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/regionalagingplan. The agency is soliciting new solutions and better ways to maximize funding and the delivery of services, as the number of seniors in the region continues to grow in the face of stagnant or declining funding. To hear from residents, ARC held a series of Community Conversations around the region from September through January. The online survey is another way for ARC to hear from you. Results from the Community Conversations and the survey will be discussed at a Regional Summit on Aging at ARC on March 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The ideas and suggestions gathered from this process will be prioritized for inclusion in ARC’s Regional Strategic Plan for Aging Services. See http://www.atlantaregional.com/aging-resources/overview/community-conversations for more information.

The Region’s Plan – Survey Phase II

In the summer of 2014, ARC conducted a survey asking how to prepare for the population growth expected by 2040. In Phase II, ARC is asking how the region should address a future of rapid change and innovation, focusing on new technologies that may impact where and how we travel and live over the next 25 years. Visit http://www.atlantaregional.com/theregionsplan to view the results from Phase I and to complete Phase II. The input gathered will help ARC update The Region’s Plan, a long-range plan for transportation, land use, community development, water quality, workforce training, arts and culture, and aging and health. The current survey is the second in a series of three. The Region’s Plan is targeted for adoption in March 2016.
