Council for Quality Growth Four Pillar Tribute: October 2 at 6pm in Downtown Atlanta

There’s still time to purchase tickets for the 25th annual Council for Quality Growth Four Pillar Tribute.

This year’s event will be held on Thursday, October 2 at 6:00 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The Council will pay tribute to civic, philanthropic, business and community leader Steve Selig, President and Chairman of the Board of Selig Enterprises.

Partnership Gwinnett Redevelopment Forum: Thursday, October 16

Mark your calendar now for the Partnership Gwinnett Redevelopment Forum on Thursday, October 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Studio Movie Grill in Duluth.

Following the theme “Breaking Bold: Reimagining Redevelopment,” the program will feature discussions on community initiated redevelopment and maximizing redevelopment financing through public private partnerships.

Georgia Tech professor Ellen Dunham Jones will provide a keynote on “Sustaining Vibrant Communities through Redevelopment.”

Egbert Perry — Chairman and CEO of the Integral Group and Board Chairman of Fannie Mae — has also been added to the program.

Public Workshop on Airport Master Plan Set for Thurs., Sept. 18

The City of Atlanta Department of Aviation is set to host a public workshop on the new Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Master Plan this Thursday, September 18 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

The Master Plan team will provide exhibits to review the planning process and introduce development alternatives and the alternatives evaluation process Information will be presented at 5:30 p.m. and repeated at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting will take place at the airport’s Technical Campus, located at 1255 South Loop Road, College Park, GA 30337. Google Maps and some GPS devices sometimes have difficulty locating this address. Use the MapQuest link provided in this post. The easiest access point is from I-75 North or South:

  • From I-75, take exit 238B (I-285 West).
  • Stay in right lane and follow signs for Loop Road.
  • Bypassing exit for I-285 West, continue on Loop Road through traffic light.
  • Technical Campus is second building on left (gray stone, blue awning).
